About Lithium-ion Batteries

Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable cells with high energy density and long cycle life. The naming convention uses a 5-digit code: first two digits are diameter in mm, next two are height in mm, last digit indicates shape (0 = cylindrical).

Key Specifications

  • Nominal voltage: 3.6-3.7V
  • Charge voltage: 4.2V maximum
  • Discharge cutoff: 2.5-3.0V minimum
  • Cycle life: 300-1500+ cycles

Safety Notes

  • Never exceed 4.2V charging
  • Use appropriate charger (CC/CV profile)
  • Avoid physical damage or short circuits
  • Store at 40-60% charge for long term
