Traditional Batteries

Compact 12V power source consisting of eight LR932 alkaline cells connected in series. Despite small size, provides reliable high-voltage power for remote controls and security devices. Voltage remains relatively stable during discharge, making it suitable for devices requiring consistent 12V operation.

Compact 6V power source created by stacking four LR44/SR44 cells in series. Despite small size, provides reliable power for electronic devices requiring 6V operation. Silver oxide versions offer more stable voltage discharge curve and higher capacity than alkaline.

Rectangular battery with distinctive snap terminals. Contains multiple smaller cells internally. Despite name, fresh voltage is typically 9.6V for alkaline. IEC designation 6F22 for carbon-zinc, 6LR61 for alkaline.

Obsolete battery size between AA and C. Rarely manufactured today but occasionally needed for vintage electronics and specialty applications. Similar diameter to AA but same height as C cell.

Second most common battery size. Smaller version of AA with proportionally reduced capacity. IEC designation R03 for zinc-carbon, LR03 for alkaline. LR03 provides 3-5 times the capacity of R03.

Premium non-rechargeable AAA battery with superior cold weather performance and ultra-long shelf life. 33% lighter than alkaline with up to 9x longer life in digital cameras. Premium pricing but excellent for critical applications.

Smallest common cylindrical battery. Primarily used in precision instruments and compact electronics. Not widely available in retail stores.

Medium-sized cylindrical battery. Higher capacity than AA/AAA but larger size. IEC designation R14 for zinc-carbon, LR14 for alkaline. Common in medium-drain portable devices.

Largest common cylindrical battery. Highest capacity in standard battery sizes. IEC designation R20 for zinc-carbon, LR20 for alkaline. Used in high-power, high-drain applications.

Largest common cylindrical primary battery. Rarely seen in consumer applications today but still used in specialized industrial and emergency equipment. Approximately twice the size of a D cell.

Small cylindrical battery with multiple naming conventions. IEC designation R1 for zinc-carbon, LR1 for alkaline. Positive end has characteristic bump. Sometimes marketed as 'lady battery' by some manufacturers.

Cylindrical rechargeable cell larger than AA but smaller than C. Primarily used in battery pack construction for power tools and RC applications. Available with solder tabs for pack assembly.
