Also known as: Alkaline button cell
Small alkaline button cell commonly used in digital thermometers and basic electronic devices. More economical than silver oxide equivalents but with less stable voltage output. The AG3 designation is widely recognized in consumer markets. Not recommended for precision timing applications where silver oxide SR41 would be superior.
